The Czech Republic has introduced a number of significant changes to the procedure for extending temporary protection for Ukrainians residing in its territory. According to the new requirements, Ukrainian citizens who have benefited from temporary protection will be able to extend it for another year, until 2025. However, a new condition has now been introduced for the successful completion of this procedure.

One of the main innovations is the possibility of extending temporary protection for Ukrainians in the Czech Republic for another year, until 2025.

In order to extend their legal stay in the country, Ukrainians will need to comply with certain rules and go through a certain stage of the procedure for extending temporary protection, which has been specified by the Czech Ministry of the Interior.

After the electronic registration for the extension of temporary protection, persons should visit the office of the Ministry of the Interior, where they will be provided with a new visa sticker. It is important to note that during the visit, it is mandatory to submit a document confirming the availability of accommodation on a form with the certified signature of the owner. If a person lives in state humanitarian housing, no proof of residence is required.

For a successful extension of temporary protection, it is also important to comply with the rules regarding officially certified signatures. If a person submits a "potvrzeni o zajisténi ubytování" form, a certified signature of the owner or an authorised person is required. For lease or sublease agreements, a certified signature is not required, but the agreement must be signed by both parties.

It is worth noting that EUROVECTOR is ready to provide the necessary advice and support in matters of visa legislation to provide Ukrainians with clear and effective ways to resolve their issues related to temporary protection in the Czech Republic.

Additional assistance is provided to individuals and legal entities by downloading the necessary forms on the information portal for foreigners. The certification of signatures or copies of documents can be done at a post office or some municipal offices, thus ensuring efficient support of Ukrainians in their process of extending temporary protection in the Czech Republic.
