In some cases, it is more convenient to file an appeal against a visa refusal than to submit a new application for a permit (visa) to enter Ukraine.

First, the timeframe for consideration of an appeal cannot exceed 10 days, while consideration of new visa applications can take up to 30 business days. And citizens or persons permanently residing in countries where armed conflicts, terrorist acts, epidemics and other factors that may pose a threat to national security, public order, healthcare, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of Ukrainian citizens and other persons residing in Ukraine may be subject to interviews and more detailed checks. However, this condition does not apply to all citizens, and there are exceptional rules that apply to certain categories of citizens. For example, diplomats and officials do not need to be interviewed under certain conditions, and they can obtain a transit visa to Ukraine at the border control of the state border crossing point to Ukraine by submitting a petition to the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or a representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The same applies to persons entering for the purpose of urgent medical treatment or participation in the funeral of a close relative, but there are mandatory conditions for obtaining a visa. In case of a decision to refuse to grant a transit visa to persons entitled to apply for visas at a state border crossing point, it makes no sense to wait for the appeal to be considered at the checkpoint, in some cases it will be more appropriate for such persons to return to their country of permanent residence.

Secondly, in some cases, it is impossible to correct the remarks of the Department of Consular Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that issued the decision to refuse a visa. And if your right has been violated by such a body, then filing an appeal may be one of those options that can resolve the issue of obtaining a visa in a shorter time than other appeal options.

However, in any case, you should choose to consult with the specialists of EVROVECTOR Law Firm, otherwise the goal of obtaining a transit visa to Ukraine will be postponed for an unpredictable period.
