The war in Ukraine has not become an obstacle for foreigners who want to live here.
However, there are some nuances that should be taken into account when applying for a visa.
A passport document, for example, must be valid for at least three months after the declared date of departure from the territory of Ukraine, contain at least two free pages and be valid for at least 10 years. It is also necessary to submit a document confirming the purpose of the trip to Ukraine. Each purpose has its own type of visa. It is this document that should have prevented the possibility of refusal on the basis of the lack of evidence confirming the purpose of the planned stay in Ukraine. However, it is not.
Grounds for visa refusal:
1. Threat to national security or public order.
2. Threat to ensure the protection of health, protection of the rights and legitimate interests of citizens of Ukraine and other persons residing in Ukraine
3. The presence of information about a foreigner or a stateless person in the database of persons who, in accordance with the law, is prohibited from entering or the right to enter Ukraine is temporarily restricted.
4. The documents are fake, do not correspond to the established model, belong to another person
5. Absence of a health insurance policy, provided that it can be issued in the territory of the state in which the corresponding visa application is submitted.
6. Lack of financial resources to live in Ukraine and travel to the country of origin or the ability to obtain financial support in a legal way on the territory of Ukraine.
7. Absence of documents enabling to establish the intention of a foreigner or a stateless person to leave the territory of Ukraine before the visa expires.
8. Application of the applicant to terminate the consideration of the application for a visa.
Even if you have all the documents required by law, refusals are possible due to the fact that there is not enough evidence.
The reason is that the intentions of the foreigner do not correspond to reality, the purpose of the trip, which was indicated in the documents.
You can also submit an appeal letter.
